We know that shopping for a ring online can feel daunting, especially when buying for someone else, so we have put together a ring size guide to help. You can measure your ring size at home using a few simple methods, but for the best results, we always advise visiting a local jeweller. We recommend avoiding measuring when your fingers are cold, as they can be up to half a size smaller than normal. Ideally, it is best to measure your fingers a few times throughout the day for an accurate result.

To try the string method, take a piece of string or paper (no wider than 1.4 cm), wrap it around your finger, and mark where the ends meet. Then, measure it against a ruler and match the length to a ring size chart.
You can also measure the inside diameter of a ring with a ruler. If your size falls between two sizes, we suggest buying the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
At Martha Jackson, we offer a plastic ring sizer from our website, complete with easy-to-follow instructions. To add one to your order, click here. Alternatively, you can download free apps to help determine your ring size. Here are a few options.
And don’t worry – if you end up with a ring that doesn’t quite fit, you can return it to us for an exchange or refund. For personalised rings, there is a small £8.00 reprocessing fee, so bear that in mind when selecting your size. If you need more help, feel free to email us at enquiries@marthajackson.co.uk, we are always happy to guide you through the process.
