An Interview with MUA Beckii
Martha Jackson have teamed up for an Interview with MUA Beckii touching on all things Make up and Jewellery!
We’re so glad we can have you answering some questions on the connection between jewellery and make up…So, first off, please can you introduce yourself to our lovely readers…
My name is Beckii, I am a UK qualified special effects makeup artist who freelanced for over 7 years in the film industry from a young age however due to my disability with my endometriosis I had to leave the freelance world and I became a disabled content creator producing beauty content specifically make up.
You probably know this already but we’re obsessed with silver here, so what type of metal do you usually wear?
I am also a silver girly. I have been wearing silver jewellery since I was a young teenager.
“ Adding a pop of colour with your jewellery like an emerald or amethyst can really tie in the look you’re going for. ”
I tend to rock a brown / dark lip paired with gold earrings or nudes matched with silver. Do you find you have a preference of how to pair different metals with different make up styles, or any cute ideas you could share?
YES!! I love to match my jewellery to the vibe I am going for with my makeup. If I’m going for a sultry grey eyeshadow look with a cool toned lip I find chunky silver jewellery is perfect to elevate that look which looks rather alternative but if I’m going on a more natural glam moment with fresh skin I think wearing a pearl and thin silver elegant rings goes perfectly as doesn’t take away but also adds. Adding a pop of colour with your jewellery like an emerald or amethyst can really tie in the look you’re going for.
How important are undertones when it comes to your make up and jewellery choices?
Undertones is the most important part of makeup theory. As a pale olive skin toned girl, wearing the correct undertones can make or break a look that I am doing and can change the over aesthetic and I truly think that is the same for jewellery. Although as someone olive toned they say to wear gold jewellery, I still think silver looks better 🤫

We always find jewellery finishes of a look in such a personal way, just like make up. Do you have any jewellery pieces that are close to your heart or maybe some go-to everyday earrings you couldn’t live without?
I love to stack my jewellery and plan out what I’m wearing and I think delicate necklaces are over looked severally but they can elevate a stack perfectly. I love the heart locket necklace to wear with something more chunkier, it’s the best of both worlds. My everyday earring is a huggie hoop through and through, I love to stack them with something dangly and then something a little smaller or a tiny hoop. The straight edge hoop in the seconds and the omega hoop in the firsts.. chefs kisses 😘
We would love to know what’s on your martha jackson wishlist and you would wear it…
I have a huge Martha Jackson wishlist as I see myself wearing everything with how versatile it all is but the top tier item is the illusion hoops, their so edgy yet look so elegant.
Thank you so much for all of your insights, where can the readers find your content?
