Jewellery Care

Our jewellery is of the highest quality, and we hope will give you pleasure for years to come.

Our sterling silver charms are available in Matte Satin or Polished finish. Our Gold charm jewellery is only available in a polished finish.
All measurements shown are approximate (taken from the widest part of the height and width of the charm). Colour reproduction is as accurate as possible, but slight variations may occur in hand finished jewellery – it is part of their charm.

Our standard length necklaces can be worn at 40cm, choker length, or extended to 45cm, to sit at the collar bone. The shorter length can also be worn by older children (4yrs +) – perfect for bridesmaids. Please supervise children when wearing jewellery.
Our longer length necklace can be worn at 61cm, and this lets the charms sit fashionably at below the breast bone.
Necklaces are available in Sterling Silver and Gold Vermeil (Sterling silver gold plated with 24 carat gold)

Our delicate sterling silver charm bracelets are a standard length of 18cm with a 2cm extension chain – so you can size to fit your wrist. The bracelet has a matte satin or polished finish to match our charms. The charms are not soldered onto the chain, but move freely along it, giving a lovely relaxed effect. Bracelets are available in sterling silver and Gold Vermeil.

Martha Jackson Sterling silver earrings, are hypo-allergenic. We use a sterling silver butterfly clasp to help keep our earrings secure.

Pearls & Stones
Some of our pieces may feature natural materials including semi-precious stones, and pearls so colours and markings will inevitably vary slightly from piece to piece.

Sterling Silver
Heat, perfume, chlorinated water, salt water and household cleaning products can all tarnish your sterling silver jewellery. To clean your silver use soft cotton, anti tarnish cloth – This can be bought at most supermarkets.

Gold Vermeil
Hand finished using 925 Sterling silver, the charm or necklace  is dipped in 24 carat gold. This process is a surface finish and will wear over time.  Avoid chemicals & remove when showering or swimming. To clean buff gently with a cotton microfibre cloth.

Pearls are soft porous material, and harsh abrasive cleaners can remove their lustre, and scratch their surface. They are particularly susceptible to loss of shine. To maintain their natural beauty, wipe them with a soft, damp cloth.

To avoid damage, keep your jewellery in separate pouches,  and fasten all chains and catches before storing flat. When jewellery is damp we suggest you allow it to dry fully before storing, using a lint free cloth will help.
