Glowing with warmth and sophistication our stunning Sterling Silver Amber Rose Necklace is sure to be an instant jewellery box favourite. This gorgeous necklace's design features 2 smooth toffee coloured amber beads below an abstract rose design. The rose, made from sterling silver, is given depth and presence by the clever use of oxidisation. The amber is presented on a sterling silver snake chain which can be worn at lengths from 18" to 20" thanks to a simple extension chain. The extension chain features a single amber bead at the end adding even more style to this necklace. Why not complete the look with our matching amber rose earrings Since Neolithic times amber has been highly desired due to its colour and natural beauty. Amber is made from fossilized tree resin and can sometimes contain small insects and animals. It can very much been seen as nature's time capsule. It's ability to preserve material has given modern day scientist not only detailed information about insects and creatures alive millions of years ago but also historic climate information for the regions in which the amber has been found. Our amber jewellery features fresh and contemporary designs using the finest Baltic amber. Baltic amber ranges between 35 to 50 million years old, the darker the amber the older it is. It was so highly valued that the Vikings, who called it Baltic gold, used it as a currency similar in value to actual gold. All our jewellery comes Gift ready.
